a. Assess:
The various activities were assessed and studied in detail and an in-depth analysis was conducted with the help of questionnaires. The results obtained led to the gauging of the requirements of the client and also processes used. The processes were documented complete with workflows and presented to the client for approval.
b. Review:
The client evaluated the documented processes and was delighted to receive suggestions on their processes. The client enhanced the processes with additional controls and validations in a streamlined and optimal manner.
c. Implement:
The system with its complete functionality was launched and implemented for the client with the latter fully satisfied with the final results obtained from the team.
d. User Acceptance:
The client tested the delivered functionality for completeness and accuracy on specially set up test environment. The client was satisfied and suggested minor changes.
e. Live Run:
Once the changes were in place and a second round of system testing done, the application was ready for run in production.
The Shared Services team now takes care of the entire back-end activities of Human Resources of the company thus leaving the HR Department ample amount of time to concentrate on their core issues.
The shifting of HR to the Shared Services team has reaped in huge benefits for the client both in terms of cost and efficiency. We have moved on from being a Service Provider to a People Partner. There is an efficient Administration Management coupled with adhering to the various SLAs between the client and the Shared Services team. Their HR team has remained a constant figure with no increase in the head count.
