The challenge was to automate the HR processes to support the growth of the business. The firm was in the process of expansion. The main challenge was to provide a systemized Human Resource Process in order to streamline the same.

The Zensar Shared Services Team provided the PeopleSoft ERP package, meeting all the above challenges for the company.

We started with mapping the as-is process of the company and making an in-depth analysis of each of the HR processes that the company followed. A questionnaire was drafted to understand the existing workflow. The answers obtained were documented and analyzed.

The next phase was the implementation of the processes through the ERP system. This included providing the client with the systematized HR process customized to match their needs and requirements.

As the users got used to the new system, the next phase of consulting was embarked upon. This led to improvement of the total process and reducing the time lag to a larger extent. The time required for the various activities was reduced and the activities were streamlined according to the client's requirements.

The solution proposed by the Shared Services team has led the client to focus on strategic aspects of Human Resources for their HR team and also increased their productivity many folds. The main benefit derived from switching into the Shared Services Mode was the service derived in terms of accountability, the authenticity of reports, the correctness of the data and most important, the timeliness of the service provided to them leading to an increase in the efficiency of the Human Resources.
