The objective is to develop various training programs to support the organization’s strategic business requirements and specific training needs identified by individual projects and support groups. Just In Time Training
The short term training plans are developed for quick ramp-up of the resource skills to meet the project-specific requirements. Typically, the JIT (Just-In-Time) training programs are intensive, short-duration, technical/behavioral courses that provide skills-upgrade for any project-specific technology/competency streams.
Annual Training Plan
The medium term training objective is to build and upgrade organizational skills in a continuous manner to meet ever-changing market requirements and opportunities. The Annual Training Plan (ATP), released at the beginning of the year, relates to the technology needs for an ODC or Practice. The ATP is made available to everyone via K-Zen, the internal Knowledge Portal of Zensar. A continuous dialogue with the Program Managers as well as participants yields to quarterly update to the ATP in order to maintain the currency & relevance to the business needs.
The ATP effectively bridges the Medium-to-Long term training requirements of the organization.
Higher Education
As an organization policy, resources at Zensar are encouraged to pursue higher education and complete technical certification courses, from recognized institutes, that not only improves their technical capabilities but also imparts them very crucial customer-facing skills.
Certifications
Several technical certifications, valued worldwide by our clients, are offered to everyone and the Certification costs are reimbursed by the Company.
Specially developed Project Management courses, leading to the PMI certification, are conducted in-house, with the help of both internal as well as expert industry faculty.
Last year, saw a new initiative in developing talent & skills in the crucial area of Software Testing. Over 25 resources went through a well-planned & extensive training program leading to the prestigious CSTE exam.
