Client is an Anglo-Dutch company, one of the world’s top 3 container shipping lines, with annual revenues of around USD 5 billion, covering 80 service routes, and provides connections to 239 main ports across 122 countries.

Client wanted to outsource several functions to high quality centres without compromising goals and business strategies. As part of this initiative it has outsourced its support of financial and human resource systems. These comprise of seven modules of PeopleSoft financials and two modules of HRMS application and multiple legacy applications.

Zensar divided the support into three areas namely PeopleSoft Financials, PeopleSoft HRMS and Legacy applications. Zensar provides support for 7 PeopleSoft financials modules and 2 HRMS modules. The complexity of the system was that high, in which it had to deal with different currencies and each country had a different value added Tax statutory requirement. Zensar provides 24/7 support for PeopleSoft Financials and PeopleSoft HRMS modules to the users in 120 countries across 6 continents.

Some of the major enhancements were multi-currency matching of open invoices, efficient use of reporting database which reduces load on production database.
