The client, Japan’s leading Financial Services Group, is well-established and has national and international presence. The client helps its customers identify certain aspects of their business that needs to be changed, and then suggest practical solutions through their two major services: Consulting & Knowledge Services, and Systems Solution Services.

The solution offered was a Cash Dividend Calculation system that computes the dividend proceeds accrued to different custodians at the end of a financial quarter. In this application only those stocks are considered for which the dividend proceeds are paid in cash. The source application is developed in C, POWER-BUILDER, and VISUAL BASIC with SYBASE database as back-end. The scope of this project was to migrate the source system into .NET environment as proof of concept before taking off the actual system migration.
