The client is one of the world’s top 3-container shipment companies, with annual revenues of around USD 5 billion. They operate 166 vessels, totaling 782,977 Teu (Ton equivalent unit), covering 80 service routes, and provide connections to 239 main ports across 122 countries.
The client wanted to be a winner in the eyes of its customers, people, industry, and financial markets. To achieve the same they identified four key improvement areas. One of this was to outsource various functions to a high quality centre in low cost countries without compromising on the corporate goals and business strategy.
Zensar divided the support into three areas namely Peoplesoft Financials, Peoplesoft HRMS and Legacy applications and helped the client to relocate support system to Pune, India. It also provided 24X7 application maintenance at reduced costs and worked with the client to set up an Offshore Delivery Centre (ODC) with more than 200 trained and experienced professionals, including a team engaged in supporting the Business Objects application.
The solution resulted in successful transitioning of support to offshore, 24/7 support provided to users in 120 countries across 6 continents and migration of all Version 4 universes to a single Version 6 universe.
